What to Check Before Reusing Furniture

Check structure, mould, pests and whether anyone can actually move it.

Furniture is heavy. Before you share it, decide both whether it is still usable and whether anyone can move it.

Direct answer Check load-bearing parts, fasteners, mould, smell and pest traces. Write dimensions and whether it dismantles. LoopSwap does not move or install furniture.

Checklist - Loose legs, slats or doors. - Fabric mould or unidentified stains. - Private papers left in drawers. - Whether the other person has a lift or extra hands. Do not assume they can collect it.

Do not share Furniture with a broken frame, heavy mould, or an unknown chemical-storage history. Infant cots with an unclear modification history need extra caution.
