How to Reuse or Dispose of Electronics

Wipe accounts before sharing a working device. Do not list swollen batteries or unsafe chargers.

Electronics combine safety and privacy. Powering on is not the same as being safe to share.

Direct answer Back up, then factory-reset or remove accounts. Check the battery and power supply. A swollen battery, cracked case or unknown charger should not be given away or lent.

Before you list - Sign out of cloud, payments and family sharing. - Remove memory cards. - Say whether it powers on, which cables are missing, and which faults you know. - Do not claim data is forensically unrecoverable.

Do not share Deformed lithium batteries, untreated water-damaged devices, medical electronics, or e-waste that needs licensed handling. Those belong in a currently verified local channel, not a community request.

Limits This page does not publish a city-by-city drop-off list, because those lists go stale. Check the current local guidance.
